ISTANBUL BUILDS EUROPE’S LARGEST WASTE-TO-ENERGY FACILITY NEAR ITS NEW AIRPORT

Doosan Škoda Power will supply equipment for a waste incineration plant in Turkey which is set to be the largest waste-to-energy facility in Europe. Consuming around one million tonnes of waste a year the Istanbul-based waste-to-energy project is being handed by Swiss cleantech company Hitachi Zosen Inova. The plant will be built near Istanbul New Airport and operated by the City of Istanbul’s subsidiary, İSTAÇ.
